Art Contest: Every Child Deserves a Safe and Happy Childhood

Calling All K-5th Grade Students!
Meigs-Gallia CASA is inviting students to take part in our local child abuse prevention efforts by participating in our art contest to help spread an important message – every child deserves to feel safe, cared for, and supported.
Students are asked to draw a picture that shows what a safe and happy childhood looks like to them.
Let your creativity help build safer futures for kids!
Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade can enter in the contest and must complete drawing on 8×10 paper.
First/Last name, grade, school and parent/guardian contact must be on back of drawing in order to notify the winner.
Drawing must be submitted by Friday February 27th 2026.

There will be ONE winner in each grade from each school. Those winners will receive a $25 gift card as well as be recognized by the County Commissioners at their April meeting. One OVERALL winner will be selected by Judge L. Scott Powell. The overall winner will receive a $50 gift card, have their artwork displayed in the lobby of Meigs County Juvenile and Probate Court and also have their artwork printed on a t=shirt to be worn by the community members, court officials, school officials, child advocates, etc. on April 8th 2026, which is Ohio Child Abuse Prevention Day.

Stay tuned for details on how to purchase the winning t-shirt. Proceeds from t-shirt sales will directly benefit our local children. Any questions please contact Chelsey Kloes at 740-992-6769.
