If your household needs help with assistance please contact us for an application at 740-444-4400 extension 2202 Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., closed each day between 11:30-12:30 for lunch. Our location is at 8317 State Route 7, Cheshire, Ohio 45620.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Provides eligible clients with weatherization procedures, such as insulation and reduced air leakage, to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and reduce their energy costs. Inspection audits identify the services necessary to improve their home&#8217;s energy efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home Weatherization Assistance Program Enhancement (HWAP-E)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Enhances the energy efficiency efforts of HWAP using separate funding. This program includes separate funding. This program includes reducing housing hazards and promoting energy efficiency which will improve conditions and health, such as furnace repair and replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Electric Partnership Program (EPP)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Provides assistance to help eligible clients reduce electric usage in their homes. Clients must be on AEP electric, lived at same location for 12 consecutive months, and use a minimum of 5000kWh. Energy audit identifies ways to reduce electrical usage through client education and upgrades in lightning and appliances. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Housing Assistance Grant Program (HAGP)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This program provides assistance for emergency home repair and\/or handicap accessibility modifications to existing housing owned by the occupants. Client is not required to be on GMCAA programs, but is subject to income eligibility and guidelines of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programs require client be participant in HEAP, PIPP, or Winter\/Summer Crisis or similar programs within the Gallia-Meigs Community Action Agency<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below is a listing of programs we have available to the public at this time through our Housing Department.
